ALWO CTA Air Handling Unit

Overview

The ALWO CTA air handling unit supplies filtered, heated outdoor air to industrial spaces. It can operate as a make-up air unit for replacing extracted air or as a warm-air supply unit, using a heating coil served by hot water or a water-glycol mixture.

The unit can be connected to a ductwork system or an air-distribution plenum. Outdoor air is moved by one or two double-inlet centrifugal fans, passes through a coarse filtration stage and then through a heating coil sized for a 30°C or 40°C temperature rise.

Construction and options

  • modular galvanised-steel panel construction;
  • thermally insulated panels available to suit the project;
  • heating and/or cooling coils selected for the duty point;
  • connection to ductwork or an air-distribution plenum;
  • configurable airflow rates from 4,000 to 50,000 m³/h.

The standard CTA configuration does not include heat recovery. Applications that require energy recovery from the extract air use the dedicated ALWO CTA_R configuration.

The filtration stage, coil duty, airflow and available pressure are selected for the required operating conditions.
