Paint-Stop Filters for Spray Booths

Paint-Stop filters are used on the exhaust side of paint spray booths to capture solid paint overspray particles from the extracted air. Their open, progressively graded structure allows particles to be retained throughout the depth of the filter medium.

The medium is made from long glass fibres arranged in layers and bonded with a thermosetting resin. It must be installed in the correct airflow direction: the green side faces the particle-laden air and the white side faces downstream.

Construction and use

• thickness: 40 mm;
• maximum operating temperature: 120 °C.

The replacement interval should be determined from the amount of paint collected and the permitted pressure drop. Chemical compatibility must be assessed for the paint and thinner used in the process.
