Labyrinth Cardboard Filters for Spray Booths

Labyrinth cardboard filters are used for dry separation of paint overspray particles from the air extracted by paint spray booths. The element consists of two pleated cardboard sheets with alternating perforations, assembled so that the air follows a path with repeated changes of direction.

Separation is based on inertia: heavier particles cannot follow the rapid changes in airflow, impact the inner surfaces and collect in the pockets formed by the pleats. Depending on the booth configuration, the filter can be used as the first stage upstream of additional filter media.

Application and selection

The product is intended for dry-separation exhaust sections in paint shops. The required filter area and replacement interval should be determined from face velocity, the sprayed material, the amount of particles collected and the permitted pressure drop.
