Metal Silos for Bulk Material Storage

ALWO silos are equipment designed and dimensioned using cutting-edge software to ensure robust and solid construction. They are manufactured from embossed galvanized steel panels using CNC machines. The panels are connected using assembly elements such as screws, nuts, and washers, with sealing done using silicone.

Silos with a diameter of 2500mm have a conical bottom, and material extraction is achieved through an agitator system, complemented by a discharge valve for controlled material evacuation.

Silos with diameters of 3600mm and 4400mm have a flat bottom. The assembly for extracting stored material consists of an agitator, a leaf spring-driven extractor with a geared motor, a screw conveyor (Snec type), and a dosing valve. For all silo models, the discharge height below the dosing valve is 3000 mm.

The middle part represents the material storage area, equipped with access doors as well as inspection windows. The upper part of the silo is the inlet zone for air laden with particles/material to be stored.

This pneumatic transport for conveying material to the silo requires either a cyclone (when the air flow and particle size permit cyclone separation) or a battery of bag filters to be placed at the top of the silo. Filter regeneration is achieved either mechanically, using motor vibrators, or with compressed air pulses (Pulse Jet system)
