REDLER Drag Chain Conveyors

REDLER drag chain conveyors, also known as en-masse conveyors, are continuous systems for controlled bulk-material handling inside an enclosed steel casing. Flights attached to the chain move the bed of material towards the discharge point.

They can be used for sawdust, residues, grain, seeds and other granular or small-sized materials. The modular rectangular housing allows the conveyor length, inlet and outlet positions, and route to be adapted to the customer’s installation. Material is discharged through the lower part of the casing.

For the configurations described, the indicated material-size limit is approximately 15–30 mm, depending on the product and execution, while the temperature can reach 150°C. The conveyor can be designed for horizontal or inclined routes at an angle of up to 45°. The allowable material size, temperature and inclination depend on the material characteristics and required capacity.

Benefits and configuration

  • continuous conveying under demanding industrial conditions;
  • robust, durable construction;
  • configurable inlet and discharge points;
  • straightforward operation and maintenance.

Sizing is based on the required capacity, bulk density, particle size, temperature, moisture content and abrasiveness of the material, as well as the available route. For combustible dust, the configuration is selected following a fire and explosion risk assessment.
