The ALWO VCF is an industrial dust collector fitted with vertically mounted cartridge filter elements inside a sealed steel housing designed for negative-pressure operation.
Dust-laden air enters the lower hopper, where the reduction in velocity allows part of the particulate to settle. Lighter particles are carried to the cartridge surfaces and form a dust cake. This deposit must be removed periodically to maintain filtration performance.
Cleaning is performed by compressed-air pulses. An electronic sequencer actuates the diaphragm solenoid valves, sending short reverse jets through the cartridges. The cleaning system uses compressed air at 3–5 bar. Pulse-jet cleaning helps control pressure drop between maintenance intervals.
The filter medium is selected according to particle characteristics, temperature, humidity, chemical compatibility and the required emission performance.
