Centralised Baghouse Dust Collector ALWO SFM

The ALWO SFM centralised baghouse dust collector is an outdoor industrial unit designed to capture dust from multiple machines connected to a common extraction system. Different filter media can be selected according to dust type and particle-size distribution.

SFM stations can operate under positive or negative pressure. In a suction arrangement, the housing remains under negative pressure, limiting uncontrolled dust release through potential leaks. Filter bags are regenerated mechanically by a motor-driven shaker, which requires a planned interruption of filtration airflow.

Construction and dust discharge

• robust standard construction in galvanised steel;
• optional stainless-steel construction;
• manufactured in Romania;
• the hopper can be equipped with automatic extraction by screw conveyor and rotary airlock.

Automatic discharge allows dust removal while the unit is operating and reduces hopper accumulation. The discharge arrangement must be adapted to the material and process.

Safety options

Subject to the project risk assessment, the station can be configured with motors and gearboxes suitable for classified zones, a control panel and sensors for the bag enclosure, drencher-type fire detection and extinguishing, inspection-door sensors, rotation monitoring and motor thermal protection. These options do not mean that every SFM configuration is automatically ATEX-certified; compliance must be established for the supplied assembly and its intended application.
