ECO SMOKE Mobile Welding Fume Filter

ECO SMOKE is a compact mobile filter for local capture of particle-laden fumes generated by welding and plasma cutting. The casing is manufactured from embossed galvanized-steel panels, and the unit can be positioned close to the workstation to minimise the extraction distance.

Cartridge filtration with compressed-air cleaning

The unit integrates the fan, filter cartridges and a compressed-air jet-cleaning system. Dust released from the cartridges is collected in a metal drawer at the bottom of the filter, which can be removed for emptying.

Capture is provided by one or two articulated extraction arms, depending on the model. The arm should be positioned as close as possible to the fume source without disrupting the shielding gas used by the welding process.

The filter is selected and operated according to the welding or cutting process, base materials and consumables, required airflow and occupational exposure requirements. The cartridges capture particles but do not, by themselves, remove gases or vapours; air recirculation and applications involving hazardous metals or substances require a risk assessment and additional measures.
