Recycling processes can release dust, fibres, light fractions and fine particles at shredders, screens, sorting stations and conveyor transfer points. A coordinated extraction and material-handling system keeps these emissions close to their source and moves separated material without interrupting production.
Extraction for variable recycling streams
Plastic, wood, paper, cardboard, glass and mixed waste behave differently in an airflow. Capture points, duct velocity, pre-separation and filter media are therefore selected from the actual material, particle size, moisture and production rate. The system must also allow inspection and safe removal of collected material.
Tower filters and cartridge cyclone filters
Tower filters can recirculate and filter suspended fine dust within suitable indoor applications. Where emissions can be captured directly, cartridge cyclone filters combine an initial centrifugal separation stage with final filtration. Pulse-jet cleaning helps maintain the filter surface while material is discharged into the selected collection system.
Air handling and make-up air
Extracted air must be balanced with controlled replacement air. CTA air-handling units can support heating and air compensation, with the configuration selected for the building and process. This prevents uncontrolled draughts and supports stable capture performance.
Conveyors for collected material
Belt conveyors handle a broad range of loads. REDLER drag conveyors suit selected granular or bulk materials, while screw conveyors move dry or damp material over controlled routes. Dimensions, construction material, drive and discharge points are engineered for the application.
ALWO combines extraction, filtration and material transport in a project-specific solution. Explore the equipment portfolio or contact us with your recycling process data.
