Surface preparation and finishing require coordinated control of dust, abrasive particles, overspray, vapours, heat and replacement air. ALWO develops project-specific equipment for woodworking, automotive, metalworking, shipbuilding and other industrial applications.
Dry and water-wash extraction walls
Dry-filter extraction walls capture paint overspray through staged filter media selected for the coating process. Water-wash versions use a circulating water curtain to collect suitable solid pigments. The correct configuration depends on the coating, application rate, part geometry and environmental requirements.
Pressurised paint-shop enclosures
Pressurised enclosures create controlled conditions for spraying and drying. Supply air, extraction, filtration, temperature and pressure are designed as one system so that air moves through the working zone in the intended direction.
Sanding benches and local capture
Extraction benches capture dust close to the sanding surface and away from the operator. External-discharge or integrated-cartridge versions are selected according to the dust, workload and plant layout. Combustible dust requires a dedicated risk assessment.
Air handling and process heat
CTA air-handling units provide controlled replacement air and can be integrated with heating or cooling sections. Hot-air generators support suitable heating and drying duties, with fuel type, airflow and thermal capacity defined for the project.
Automated material movement
Carousel chain conveyors can move parts through preparation, coating and drying stages at a controlled pace. Their layout is coordinated with booths, workstations and process times to improve flow and reduce manual handling.
