ALWO BAF Suction Benches with Filter Cartridges

ALWO BAF suction benches are sanding workstations with local extraction and integrated cartridge filtration. Dust-laden air is captured close to the work surface, reducing particle dispersion around the operator when the unit is correctly sized and used.

Each compact unit includes a fan, electrical starter panel, filter cartridges and an adjustable sequencer for automatic compressed-air cleaning. Periodic pulse cleaning helps maintain the permeability of the filter media.

Main features

• downdraft work surface for local capture of sanding dust;
• integrated cartridge filters with a total filter area from 22 to 44 m²;
• automatic compressed-air pulse cleaning;
• integrated fan and electrical starter panel;
• three configurations with nominal airflow from 2,000 to 4,000 m³/h.

Installation requirements

The automatic cleaning system uses compressed air at 3–5 bar. The electrical supply, exhaust connection and utility requirements are selected for the installation site.

Cartridge media and safety measures are selected according to the sanded material. Combustible dust requires a dedicated risk assessment and an appropriate protection concept; the standard configuration must not be assumed to be ATEX compliant.
