Pressurized Enclosures with Water Curtain Filtration

Pressurized paint booths are used to create an optimal space necessary for spraying and drying, a space shielded from dust and powders where the possibility of controlling pressure and temperature exists. They are composed of a spraying chamber where the actual painting takes place and a drying chamber, where freshly painted pieces undergo the drying process. They are constructed using 40mm polyurethane sandwich panels, and their composition includes:

• Extractive fronts with dry filters, designed to capture powders suspended in the spraying chamber.
• Water-equipped floor with a metal grid, a drain/fill valve, no water recirculation.
• Partition wall with sliding doors and windows between the painting and drying areas, door dimensions 1250xH2400mm – 2 pieces.
• Sliding doors with windows providing access to the painting and drying chambers, door dimensions: 2000 x H2400 mm (half-opening).
• Fluorescent lamps 1200, 2x36W, IP 65 (1 piece per meter of the enclosure).
• Air distribution system – plenum type, with a height of 500 mm, equipped with F5 ceiling filters for both the painting and drying chambers.
• Vapor extraction columns served by fans, for the drying chamber.
• Air treatment units that compensate for the air extracted from the two chambers. The air, taken from the atmosphere, will be filtered, brought up to the temperature requirements of the chambers, and then introduced into the two chambers through the air distribution systems.
• The electrical and automation panel includes a PLC and comprises an inverter for adjusting the airflow of the painting air treatment unit, automatic temperature control for the chambers with a programmer, temperature probe, and a mixing valve with a servomotor. It includes thermal protection for all motors, with the possibility to program the required flow times and automatic start/stop of the installation
