Activated Carbon Cartridge Filters

Air filtration technology has considerably evolved in recent decades. ALWO keeps up with technology and manages to develop filtration solutions not only for ordinary dusts, but also for strong odors released by organic solvents, smoke or hydrocarbons.

Organic solvents are part of certain substances such as paints, varnishes, adhesives, etc., and are a danger to human health, animals and the environment.

The activated carbon filters produced by our company are grouped in 2 categories:

– KARBON ALWO filters work similarly to cartridge dust retention equipment. The filter cartridges contain activated carbon, which has the property of retaining Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) when in contact with carbon. However, the use of activated carbon filters is recommended for lower flows of contaminated air, typically individual equipment that does not require the filtration of an air flow higher than 15,000 m3 / h.

– KARB ALWO filters are different from the KARBON model by replacing the cartridges with activated carbon beds, thus having the possibility to filter high and very high flow rates of contaminated air and also allowing the user to quickly and efficiently replace large amounts of contaminated activated carbon by using special bags called big-bag. Air flows taken by KARB filters: 15,000 Mc / h – 60,000 m3 / h
